When I started this site I had no exposure to tea, and I wanted to document, for both myself and the rest of the world, what I ended up liking and not liking when it comes to tea.
Similar to wine, tea is affected greatly by the climate in which it grows. Differences in soil and weather conditions produce a rich mosaic of tea's many natural flavors. In addition, if you drink tea that comes in bags, the bags themselves can change the tea's flavors. Factors such as how the tea is stored (in a tin, in ceramic, in glazed ceramic, in porcelain) can also affect flavors. Of course, most people won't notice any of this.
My personal opinion on teas: I really don't like Ceylon. I'm picky about green teas. I love white tea and black tea.
